Commissions painted by Anthony Coffey
1. Discussion with the client is welcome and
necessary throughout the commission artwork procedure.You can e-mail your own photos of the subject as reference. We can choose the medium that fits your budget.
- All photos are kept in strict confidence, and are for my use only in creating the final painting.
- No photos can or will be displayed or published without written consent of the person whose image is in the photograph. Your confidence is assured.
- Note
that all photos taken by Anthony Coffey remain the exclusive property
and copyright of Anthony Coffey, though I provide to you copies of all
of them on a CD.
Photography Fees
I do not charge anything extra for the photo session, as
that is part of the commission. If however the artwork commission is
terminated, and my client wants the photographs, a fee of $75 is to be
paid for time and materials, and the photographs will be delivered on a
CD.
Otherwise, the only cost for photography would be
travel expenses to locations farther than 50 miles from my studio. I am
willing to travel round trip to any location worldwide at nothing more
than the cost of my expenses plus a reasonable amount more for my time.
I
prepare a sketches and/or a small preliminary study of the proposed art subject. The client and the subject are invited to comment on this
preliminary, as, whenever possible, I e-mail pictures of the
preliminary work for discussion.
With the client's full
approval, I begin the final painting. I use only the finest professional
brushes, paints, mediums and other materials available to assure your artwork will be archival, museum- or heirloom-quality
- I will work with your schedule
- I
can work from life.
Depending on time, I may do sketches, color studies.
3. Delivery of the Final Work
When the painting is finished, I will deliver it personally or by insured carrier, crated for safe transport and delivery.
- Client is responsible for delivery costs
- Framing is extra.
4. Delivery Schedule
Delivery
usually takes between two weeks to two months depending on the artwork's size and complexity, and my other commissions or gallery
schedules.
5. Fees is usually discussed during our fist meeting or phone conversation.
Fees are good for 30 days from any contracted commission. Fees are locked at current rates upon 50% down payment.
- Prices do not include framing.
A 1/2 deposit of the total artwork fee is required to start the commission procedure.
The balance, including
all additional expenses (framing, travel, crating, shipping and
handling, applicable sales tax, etc.) is due before delivery of the artwork. Invoice provided.
- Travel, reasonable lodging, and meal expenses are additional when it is necessary to leave New York County.
- Current Sales Tax rate for the city and/or county of the delivery address applies to New York residents.
- Sizes are shown in USA inches. For centimeters, multiply each dimension by 2.54.

Copyright
is retained by Anthony Coffey in all artistic works. Client may
request a no-publish status for a small additional fee.
